RenRe’s CR improves 4.5 pts to 76% in Q4 earnings beat

Bermudian reinsurer RenaissanceRe has reported a comfortable earnings beat for the fourth quarter, with results that included a 71 percent increase in underwriting income to $541.0mn and a 4.5 point improvement in the combined ratio to 76.0 percent.
