D&O rates continue to fall with profitability under threat

The sharp softening seen in certain areas of D&O has led to concerns among some carriers about the long-term profitability of the business line, but others argue that the market remains healthy, and that the data on pricing has been skewed by short-term phenomena like special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) and IPO activity, which have less of an impact on the broader market.
