US Treasury committee mulls cat bonds for terrorism risk

A Mike Sapnar-chaired committee formed to provide advice to the Federal Insurance Office (FIO) about terrorism risk-sharing mechanisms has met twice recently, with one topic of debate being the potential for cat bonds to cover this risk.
