Allstate drops to nearly $3bn UW loss in 2022 after recording $1.7bn gain in ’21
Allstate confirmed Wednesday its property-liability combined ratio soared 10.2 points in the fourth quarter to 109.1 percent as it posted a $1bn underwriting loss for the period driven by inflation-hit deteriorating personal auto results as well as Winter Storm Elliott losses.
