Breckenridge to launch Texas non-standard auto program with Davis hire

Wholesaler, program manager and MGA Breckenridge Insurance Group has hired former Apollo, Newport General and Tri-Star executive Sheree Davis to launch a new non-standard auto program in Texas.

Davis will be leading the start-up of a general agency operation and the development of the new program as part of Breckenridge’s program administrator and MGU/MGA platform Blue River Underwriters.

She will report to Dennis DiCapua, president of Blue River Underwriters’ program division.

DiCapua was unveiled in his new position in March and worked with Davis at Newport General Agency, which he founded before selling it to AmWINS in 2010.

Davis was most recently vice president of underwriting and operations for Apollo Managing General Agency and was at Newport General Agency before that.

She has also held underwriting positions at Harbor Insurance Managers and North American Managing General Agency and worked for Tri-Star Insurance Agency and American Hallmark Insurance Company early in her career.
