AmRisc preliminary Ian loss estimate set at around $800mn

Coastal MGA giant AmRisc has told carrier partners its initial modelled loss for Hurricane Ian is around $800mn but has highlighted a lower-than-expected early claims count as well as changes to its underwriting over the last couple of years that could help mitigate the final impact, The Insurer understands.
