Ambac reaches $1.84bn settlement of Bank of America mortgage-crisis litigation

Bank of America is to pay $1.84bn to settle all of Ambac Financial Group’s claims stemming from the financial crisis, in a move that provides further stability for the latter’s legacy financial guaranty business.
