Chancellor reassures insurance bosses his economic plan “will work”

Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng has sought to reassure City bosses – including Aviva’s Amanda Blanc – that the government’s economic strategy will work, despite a market meltdown that sent sterling to record lows a day earlier.
