Travelers shares trade down as personal lines results hit by inflation and cats

Investors sent shares in Travelers down as much as 2.8 percent this morning despite an overall earnings beat for the second quarter as results deteriorated in personal insurance driven by the impact of higher cat losses and inflationary pressures on its auto book amid a backdrop of mounting recessionary fears.
