TransRe, RSUI and CapSpecialty drive largest ever quarterly UW profit at Alleghany

Alleghany generated Q4 underwriting profit of $205mn that represented the largest on a quarterly basis in its history, as reinsurer TransRe, E&S carrier RSUI and CapSpecialty all delivered “excellent” results, said group president and CEO Joe Brandon.
