Allianz to pay ~$6bn over Structured Alpha fraud as three portfolio managers charged

Europe’s largest insurer Allianz will pay around $6bn to settle the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) probe into the management of its Structured Alpha fund, which has today seen charges levelled against it and three former employees for contriving “a massive fraudulent scheme”.
