Allstate shares drop 6% on “another messy quarter”

Investors sent Allstate’s share price down over 6 percent in trading Thursday following the insurer pre-announcing continued deterioration in the personal auto segment along with winter storm losses, with analysts bemoaning a third straight quarterly earnings loss.
