Fitch: (Re)insurers could withstand CrowdStrike loss in “mid to high single digit billions”

The CrowdStrike outage is unlikely to have a material impact on global (re)insurer financial results, Fitch Ratings has said, noting preliminary market estimates of global insured losses that range in the mid- to high single digit billion dollars and suggesting that “claims will be mostly within the retentions of primary insurers”.
