James River share price slumps 23% after Q4 loss

Shares in James River were trading down 23 percent this morning as investors reacted badly to widening fourth-quarter losses driven by a $115mn casualty reinsurance reserve charge, despite a series of strategic actions the carrier believes will put the issue behind it and a vote of confidence from AM Best.
