Loss-hit Europeans reissue FOTs as hardening accelerates ahead of late 1.1 renewals

A number of European cedants have been forced to reissue firm order terms for their property treaty placements, with 1 January set to be a two-speed renewal as carriers hit hard by the Bernd flooding face rate on line increases as high as 40 percent while loss-free and modestly impacted accounts are expected to renew up in the mid-single digits, The Insurer can reveal.
