Resilience global distribution head Tom Gamble passes away
Industry veteran Tom Gamble, most recently global chief distribution officer at cyber insurtech MGA Resilience, has sadly passed away.
Gamble had held the top distribution post at the cyber insurtech since August 2020, just as it was setting up to launch as a program manager with Intact capacity, and had previously spent roughly 12 years at Arch Capital across two different stints.
In between he spent four years as a national producer at retail broker Willis in New York, which came after he spent two years with Zurich North America as president of its M&A and structured solutions group.
“We are incredibly sad to share news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Tom Gamble,” Resilience said in a Linkedin post.
“As our EVP and Global Head of Distribution, Tom made a tremendous impact on our young business, leading the establishment and success of our limited broker partnership network. We will miss his friendship, his infectious, hearty laugh, and the passion he brought to every engagement,” a statement from the company continued.
“In honor of Tom and his legacy, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, two causes near and dear to his heart.”
Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions CEO Mario Vitale overlapped with Gamble while the two were at Zurich North America, before reuniting at the cyber insurtech.
“Tom was my friend and professional work colleague for more than 30 years and he will be greatly missed,” Vitale said in a statement to The Insurer.
