ILS executive Brad Livingston joins Gallagher Re as head of collateralised markets

Brad Livingston has joined Gallagher Re as head of collateralised reinsurance, a move that reunites the executive with his former Willis Re colleagues after stints at insurtech Arbol and private equity firm Apollo Global Management in recent years.

New York-based Livingston had spent the last year with parametric-focused insurtech Arbol as head of risk capital solutions, after spending a little more than a year as a managing director at Apollo, where he worked on sourcing P&C insurance opportunities for the investment firm.

He previously spent two years as an ILS executive at Willis Re, leaving the firm in June 2021, ahead of the unit’s sale to Arthur J Gallagher.

Before Willis Re he was head of third-party capital at Axis Capital for almost two years, following a previous four-year stint at Willis Towers Watson, after starting his career at Guy Carpenter.

Livingston is the latest former Willis Re colleague to join Gallagher Re, after the firm hired Brad Sforza this past January.
